We Serve

We Serve is the motto of Lions Clubs International and it is the goal of every Lion in District 4-C3 to see that we fulfill this goal.

In the Centennial Year of Lions Clubs, we have set a target to serve 100 Million People World-Wide.  Now that we've reached that milestone, we have resolved to keep going.

Support Lions in this effort.  Contribute to a Lions Fundraiser.  Support Lions with your donations of used eyeglasses, recyclable clothes, funds, etc.  Join your local Lions Club and lend a hand.

Welcome to the website of Lions District 4-C3.  Like all Lions Districts, we include a specific geographic area.  Our District comprises Alameda and Contra Costa Counties of California, USA.  Our counties are directly east of San Francisco across the San Francisco Bay.  Our District numbers about 1270 Lions (members) in 46 clubs.  Lions are organized in more than 200 Districts throughout the populated world.

Lions of District 4-C3:

2017 is ending on such a high note of success and 2018 is beginning with much excitement, celebration and growth of our clubs.

The District Meeting focused on "Youth" and the many projects we support. If your club needs more information on how to get involved with the Scouting Program, LEO's, Peace Poster and Student Speaker Contest participation, please contact the chairman of these committees. The Student Speaker Contests will be starting in January and you still have time to participate. It is not too early to plan for the 2018 Peace Poster contest; kits can be ordered from LCI in January.

The Centennial Celebration continues, and all clubs are asked to report your service activities to Lions Clubs International. The work of our Lions needs to be promoted within our communities, state and internationally and more importantly reported.  The International Convention in Las Vegas will be culmination of all our services; be a part of the statistics and the celebration of all our work.

The Multiple District Four Convention is just around the corner and registration deadlines are fast approaching. The theme is "The Next Century of Service." Past International President Sid L Scruggs, III and Lion Judy will be the guests of honor. A few activities that are planned include a Leadership Luncheon, seminars from the Multiple District Endorsed Projects, a Women's Symposium led by PID Sanjeeta Jatia from Kolkata, West Bengal, India, and the Governors Banquet honoring the District Governors, the Academy of Awards and a Melvin Jones Fellowship Breakfast.

More importantly there will be FUN to be had by all attendees. All activities are open to ALL Lions and I encourage you to plan on attending the convention. This is the time to meet and share ideas with Lions from all over the state of California. Lions of District 4-C3, we proudly serve our communities and realize the "Power of We", please continue your efforts.

Yours in Lionism,

Rajen Thapa

Centennial District Governor
