Welcome to the website of Lions District 4-C3. Like all Lions Districts, we are located in a specific geographic area. Our District comprises Alameda and Contra Costa Counties of California, USA. Our counties are directly east of San Francisco across the San Francisco Bay. Our District numbers about 1,100 Lions (members) in 40 clubs.
My Fellow Lions,
As I begin the year as District Governor for 4-C3, I want to thank Immediate Past District Governor (IPDG) Duke for his year. With all the challenges IPDG Duke and his team faced toward the end of his year they did a FANTASTIC Job. I welcome our new Team and we promise to work hard for the District. My theme is "Strengthen the Foundation while Building for the Future". We will be working with all clubs so we can better serve our communities. The coming year will be challenging because of the “new normal” and we look forward to partnering with you to meet the challenge.
District Governor Bill Ridle

Lions of District 4-C3:
I want to thank all of the Lions of District 4-C3 for the service you have completed while “SERVING FROM THE HEART.”
As you remember, we began our year of service in Milan, Italy during the hottest temperatures ever in Europe. The theme of our Lions International President Choi’s is “We Serve through Diversity.”
Lions, who knew the impact of Covid-19 would mean we would be sheltered in place for months, cancelling our meetings and service projects, our District Convention, the International Convention, installations, change the format of the Student Speakers Contest, trainings and the Council of Governor meetings. But we are able to continue to serve our communities and even charter a new club. Lions, you have collected food or donated funds to local food banks, made facial masks and distributed, purchased sanitizer, masks and gloves for first responders and community centers, provided meals to those in need, supported the Lions Clubs International Foundation and California Lions Foundation to further our service locally and globally.
With the aid of technology meetings, trainings, socialization and installations are being held. Our foundations are meeting the needs of their clients though virtual contact and support groups. Service projects and fundraising continues and most importantly clubs are continuing to serve in the world of “The New Normal.”
Congratulations to District Governor Bill Ridle, 1st Vice District Governor James Varghese and 2nd Vice District Governor Linda Barbara and the members of the 2020-2021 Cabinet.
